WHAT TO EXPECT
Every minute of every day, thousands of parts and materials from all over the world are shipped and delivered to our plants, ready to be utilised on our production lines within hours. At the same time, hundreds of customers from across the globe are handed the keys to their newly transported vehicles. A feat like this doesn’t just happen. Behind this momentous undertaking are our Material Planning and Logistics team, coordinating on a massive scale to ensure our vehicles continue to roll smoothly off the production lines and into the hands of the customers awaiting them.
As part of the Material Planning and Logistics team you'll be responsible for ongoing Bill of Material (BOM) maintenance for your products. Using existing IT systems to identify potential issues, you'll investigate and resolve BOM problems as required liaising with various other departments including Change Control and Engineering. You'll also respond to BOM queries raised by other areas ensuring timely and accurate problem resolution.
In your role you’ll:
· Create and maintain BOM validation data in the Emperor system
· Run error check reports on a daily basis
· Respond to BOM queries from other areas
· Investigate and resolve BOM concerns using various JLR IT systems
WHAT YOU’LL NEED
To be successful in this position you'll be able to demonstrate strong problem solving investigation and resolution skills. Working with and alongside various departments you'll have excellent communication skills and be able to interpret data accurately to reach appropriate conclusions. This position also requires you to have a good knowledge of Microsoft Office programmes in order for you to interrogate various systems. You'll be able to work to tight process deadlines and an awareness of Bill of Material (BOM) structures would be advantageous to be successful in this position.

· Good team player skills but also able to work using your own initiative
· Strong IT skills, able to interrogate systems as part of the problem investigation process
· To be capable of working to process deadlines and able to prioritise workload
