Body, Interiors and Exteriors creates vehicle body engineering solutions which meet or exceed our customers’ expectations at the best value. Body Structures are responsible for the design and development of the body-less-doors, which include body pressings, castings, extrusions and body sealing media for all Jaguar Land Rover models.  The team also manage the component and prototype supplier base to ensure timing and project control is maintained.

The department is responsible for developing designs from concept through to production. Our deliverables are released 3D CAD models which demonstrate robustness via FMEAs, FDJ Tracker, DVPs, APQP and ultimately PSW approved parts, meeting each programme’s attribute objectives.

Based primarily in GDEC at Gaydon, as the Project Engineer you’ll work alongside the Group Leader and the other Project Engineers. You’ll report into the Body Structures department with matrix responsibility into the Group Leader and the Module Leader within the projects assigned. There may be a need to work at other Jaguar Land Rover manufacturing and design locations to suit department needs.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

As the successful candidate, you’ll have strong knowledge of CATIA V5, a degree in engineering or comparable qualification, experience of automotive BiW design and stampings, and also knowledge of body construction. You'll be an effective communicator and presenter as you'll be required to present to colleagues at all levels, and you'll come across as a good team player who is self-motivated and capable of delivering quality products.
