Continually pushing the boundaries of innovation and redefining the benchmark for excellence, we set the standards others want to follow. We want to keep it that way too. Which is where you join the journey.

LOCATION: Solihull, West Midlands

WHAT TO EXPECT

Our commitment to sourcing only the highest-quality products for our vehicles has taken us all over the world. Join us, and it will be you coordinating a supplier base of thousands, ensuring the right part arrives at our plants at precisely the right time.

Every minute of every day, thousands of parts and materials from all over the world are shipped and delivered to our plants, ready to be utilised on our production lines within hours. At the same time, hundreds of customers from across the globe are handed the keys to their newly transported vehicles. A feat like this doesn’t just happen. Behind this momentous undertaking are our Material Planning and Logistics (MP&L) team, coordinating on a massive scale to ensure our vehicles continue to roll smoothly off the production lines and into the hands of the customers awaiting them.

In your role as a Bill of Materials and Specification Analyst, you'll be joining a team responsible for the creation, development, and engineering change aspects of the bill of materials (BoM) for each product and their respective territories. As well as supporting investigation of market claims and problem log closures, your goal will be to ensure that the correct level of material is supplied to meet the required market build standards for BoM integrity, packaging, quality, and safety. You’ll be supporting the market in the resolution of technical issues and ensuring that learning from other territories is transferred where applicable. In addition, you’ll be responsible for maintaining a model line’s release and monitoring engineering changes to help ensure smooth operation by liaising with our global contract manufacturers through verbal, written, and direct market representation opportunities.

Through the monitoring and understanding of your own areas, you’ll be feeding the BoM information to our packing facilities and sending out materials and parts to our low-volume, international markets. You’ll also be required to lead meetings with other teams, report back market data, and act as a central figure to the departments involved in any changes identified.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

For your role as a Bill of Materials and Specification Analyst, you’ll be computer literate and proficient in all relevant business systems, including Microsoft Office. You’ll have experience participating in complex projects and tasks, incorporating both internal and external project team members, and you’ll possess an understanding of BoM processes and engineering change management. Finally, you’ll also need to be comfortable in travel, not only across our UK sites but also occasionally overseas, so a current, valid driving licence will be required.

BENEFITS

Bring all this to the home of premium innovation, and you’ll find the opportunities to further your career with a world-class team, a discounted car purchase and lease scheme for you and your family, membership of a competitive pension plan, and a performance-related bonus scheme. All this and more makes Jaguar Land Rover the perfect place to continue your journey.

Jaguar Land Rover is committed to equal opportunity for all.
