WHAT TO EXPECT
Using state-of-the-art facilities, you’ll provide the power behind our vehicles working in our Powertrain Engineering team. You'll find the ideal balance between performance and sustainability, while responding to the environmental issues that shape our industry.
As Battery Test Technician, you’ll operate across the facility conducting activities in order to ensure that productive output is maintained. You’ll be responsible for providing and maintaining common standardised operational processes, and will seek to optimise operational capability through regular involvement in continuous improvement activities.
In this role, you’ll be required to become highly proficient in test installation, test equipment and instrumentation connections. You’ll also be responsible for start-up and monitor test automation systems (Maccor/Lynx) and issue reporting and resolution on time.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED
Your proven track record in latest environment will mean you have the ability to set-up and run automated testing. In addition to this you’ll have a knowledge of vehicle powertrain configurations including High Voltage / HEV / BEV applications.
Ideally, you’ll have hand fabrication skills, as you’ll create and assemble test jigs from technical drawings. Alongside this you’ll have knowledge of Health and Safety requirements, Risk Assessment, COSHH and MSDS.
Having an Apprenticeship or a NVQ level 3 with 4 years relevant technical experience would be beneficial, alongside strong IT literacy.
