WHAT TO EXPECT

Using state-of-the-art facilities, you’ll provide the power behind our vehicles working in our Powertrain Engineering team. You'll find the ideal balance between performance and sustainability, while responding to the environmental issues that shape our industry.

As a Battery System Engineer, you’ll be responsible for the delivery of the battery pack electrical and electrical control hardware components. Working with designs engineers, you’ll ensure the CAD designs and drawings are completed with the correct level of integrity.

You’ll also lead suppliers through design phase, procurement of prototypes, production tooling, and ensure components perform to requirements.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

As a Battery System Integration Engineer, you'll have significant experience specifying and designing battery pack low voltage, and high voltage and control hardware. Alongside a degree in a relevant engineering discipline, your knowledge includes typical battery characteristics and protective systems. You'll also have the ability to project manage a design through to production and manage several parts across multiple vehicle programmes. Also, knowledge of typical BEV and PHEV battery system solutions and technologies is required. You should round out your technical expertise with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
