WHAT TO EXPECT

Our Marketing, Sales and Service (MS&S) teams are responsible for all customer-facing activities, from developing and maintaining the dealer network to managing importers and export partners. Their responsibilities continue through to global sales planning and supply of vehicles to markets, the sales process to customers, and all global customer service and aftersales activities. 

Organised within MS&S, Global Retail Ops (SR), the newly formed Online Sales and Trading team has been established to develop, trade and continually optimise jaguar Land Rover’s new online sales channel including identification, scoping and approval of business cases with P&L owners. The new online sales channel will provide Jaguar Land Rover’s customers with a premium digital sales experience by delivering online transactional capabilities that add customer value to their chosen retail journey. The Online Sales and Trading team is responsible for the business and commercial deliverables of the Future Customer Experience (FCE) Online Sales work stream, working collaboratively with the functions, regions, markets, vendors and retailers (B2B and B2C) to set up and launch Jaguar Land Rove's online sales platform. This responsibility explicitly includes the scoping and resolution of all online sales commercial issues such as vehicle part exchange, financial services, pricing and margin. Aligned to the business case and pre-agreed commercial opportunity prioritisation, the Online Sales and Trading team will work closely with the MS&S Digital Infrastructure (MC2) team, the IT Strategy and Planning (XI3) team and their appointed suppliers and vendors to identify the business requirements, agree the scope and design, build and test through to technical deployment. In conjunction with MC2 and XI3, the Online Sales and Trading team will manage the project through the full delivery lifecycle from discovery to operation within the relevant P&L functional, regional and market teams. Post deployment, working closely with the Marketing and Global Analytics teams, the Online Sales & Trading team take responsibility for demand management, channel analytics and overall channel optimisation.

As the Analytics Manager within Online Sales and Trading, you'll be expected to utilise your technical skills to lead the team in execution of the solutions in an Agile environment. Data analytics projects will be varied in nature and will require a wide spectrum of analytics skills including data manipulation and data visualisation. By combining the necessary technical skills and coaching ability, you’ll support your team through stakeholder management and project scoping to delivery, and you'll lead the delivery of analytics solutions from problem definition and project scoping to project planning, delivery and documentation.

Becoming a subject matter expert in one of our analytics tools (SQL/Tableau/Anlteryx/VBA), you’ll lead the development of best practice in that area. In addition, you'll lead other teams to turn data into insights and action taking advantage of their expert knowledge of technology, systems and analytical techniques. Besides developing successful insights, you’ll engage with and influence the team members in addition to collaborating with internal and external partners.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

To be successful in this role, you'll have a record of leading the development of analytics solutions in at least two of the following: Alteryx, Knime, Tableau and SQL. In addition, you’ll be able to fully demonstrate experience of delivering analytical solutions that bring genuine insight to an organisation. Rounding out your skills with line management experience, you’ll be more than capable of leading a team of analysts and effectively engaging various stakeholders.

You’ll also need experience of creating high-impact reports and presentations designed to facilitate decision making, and you’ll be a proactive problem-solver who demonstrates flexibility and agility as well as the ability to identify, develop and analyse cross-functional partnerships through collaboration and facilitation. Showing aptitude and analytical rigor, you’ll perform structured analysis of data and synthesis into useful formats and will bring actionable commercial insights. The role will also allow you to build on your familiarity with Microsoft Excel, Tableau Reporting and web analytics tools such as Google Analytics.
