What to expect:
Advanced Manufacturing Engineering – Trim and Final Facilities are responsible for the Development and introduction of new and modified facilities associated with new model introductions and model year changes. This also includes the development of installation timing plans, Latest Indicated Cost Status and appropriate H&S plans.

Key Responsibilities
• Project manage the planning and implementation of Trim & Final ( T&F) facility modifications for new model introduction and model year changes.
• Lead the creation of detailed facility modification timing plans in line with manufacturing launch strategies and Plant procurement requirements.
• Lead supplier selection and vendor management activities with JLR Purchasing.
• Provide feasibility statements for Product Development designs to suit manufacturing build requirements.
• Create and maintaining detailed cost trackers.
• Involvement in allocating the teams work through developing and monitoring progress against team objectives.
• Ensure team adherence to QMS deliverables.
• Manage technical issues and escalate where appropriate.
• Represent the T&F Facilities at program meetings at all levels and present where applicable
• Ensure the team support virtual build events raising and championing issues where appropriate.
• Co-ordinate the teams support of physical builds at Assembly Plant locations, raising and managing issues where appropriate.

What you’ll need
• Ideally educated to Degree level in Manufacturing Systems or a similar engineering discipline
• Thorough understanding of JLR Facility Procurement and H&S procedures
• A thorough understanding of Trim & Final (T&F) processes and facilities
• Knowledge of and involvement in product launches
• Knowledge of and involvement in the product development phase
• Project management experience
• Facility system validation and handover to Manufacturing.
• Ability to build relationships with key internal and external stakeholders
• Self-motivated and always work to the highest standards
