From iconic body styling to interior detail, from doors and windows to whole cabin systems, everything about our vehicles has to be perfect. This is what customers expect from a luxury brand. This is also what this team makes happen. Join them, and you’ll help us to stay at the forefront of vehicle innovation and research, and to build on our position as a highly competitive brand in a highly competitive marketplace.

The department provides materials engineering advice and direction, to many customers within the Jaguar and Land Rover organisation in order to ensure technically robust, cost-effective, and environmentally friendly materials solutions to engineering issues. Reporting to the BiW and Corrosion Group Leader within Materials Engineering, in the role of Adhesive Materials Engineer you’ll provide technical support, principally to Body Sealing functions, on material queries and development.

Your role will include the selection, specification, validation, and evaluation of adhesive and sealing materials as well as allied processes for current and future vehicles applications on Jaguar and Land Rover products. Besides establishing key liaison with other departments, you’ll develop close working relationships with internal subsections. The customer interfaces outside the department will include Research, Manufacturing Engineering, Stamping Engineering, Body Construction Engineering, Paint Engineering, Production Engineering, and Service, and all these will be required in order to manage material development projects and to solve material performance issues. In addition, you’ll participate in projects designed to improve departmental efficiencies and optimise local working practice.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

For this role, you'll need to have an awareness of material properties and processing methods, manufacturing techniques, and testing methodologies. You'll also possess the ability to analyse problems, generate solutions, and achieve results while making effective use of all available resources. Ideally, you’ll hold a relevant engineering degree, but other technical qualifications will also be considered. A full UK driving licence will be required.

BENEFITS

Bring all this to the home of premium innovation, and you’ll find the opportunities to further your career with a world-class team, a discounted car purchase and lease scheme for you and your family, membership of a competitive pension plan, and a performance-related bonus scheme. All this and more makes Jaguar Land Rover the perfect place to continue your journey.

Jaguar Land Rover is committed to equal opportunity for all.
