WHAT TO EXPECT

The Energy Storage team in EESE are responsible for all Jaguar Land Rover’s battery packs and energy storage devices, from 12V to electric vehicle battery packs. We are a growing team based at Gaydon and Warwick University, and this role is within the Low-Voltage Energy Storage engineering team at Gaydon responsible for all 12V and 48V batteries and supercapacitors.
The purpose of this role is to coordinate the design, development, testing, and introduction of new or carry-over 12V batteries, 12V battery monitoring systems, and associated labels as part of a small team. Operating in a cross-functional organisation, as the Component Engineer you’ll report into the LV Energy Storage Group Leader as well as the associated architecture module leaders. You’ll be expected to divide your time between supporting the delivery of 12V batteries and battery monitoring systems and the introduction of new technology to support the rapidly developing vehicle electrical architecture.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED
You’ll come to this role with experience of power supply, energy storage group, and architecture modules along with previous involvement with electrical package and quality. In addition, you’ll be an excellent communicator with a history of project management within either automotive or electrical engineering. Ideally, you’ll also have experience of component delivery or at least a good understanding of electronics.
