JacTravel is one of the world's premier suppliers of online hotel bookings and inbound travel services to the tourism sector. Every year, more than 2 million satisfied passengers use our services to give them the best holidays possible. Our business operates from 14 offices worldwide and employs more than 500 staff in London, Beijing, Cluj-Napoca, Dubai, Dublin, Edinburgh, Hong Kong, Orlando to name just a few!

JacTravel operates two distinct yet complementary divisions; the GROUP TOURS division has unrivalled expertise in delivering market-leading tailored tours to groups visiting the UK and Ireland and a select number of destinations in Europe, offering bespoke itineraries and products, and the B2B Hotels division is a global provider of wholesale online accommodation, including rooms in more than 12,000 hand-picked hotels worldwide.

The JacTravel Internship Programme

Every year we look to take on a number of interns into the Groups division to support our Groups and Product departments, based in our London (W6) and Edinburgh offices.

Internship placements are for a minimum of three months and some last for as long as six months.

If you joined the Product internship your core responsibilities would be to maintain relationships with our suppliers to negotiate room rates and to purchase hotel rooms for the Groups business in the UK. You will also liaise with our Account Development and Sales and Customer Delivery teams on a daily basis and help with administration tasks.

If you joined the Groups internship your core responsibilities would be to liaise with British and European suppliers (hotels, guides, coaches, and restaurants) for bookings services, carrying out research on new itineraries, logging new requests on our in-house reservation system (Tourplan) and provide administration support to the Customer Delivery and the Account Development teams.

What we want from you as an intern?

Don’t underestimate what an “intern” is or does! You’ll be a valuable asset to the Groups division – to be successful you’ll need to be friendly and helpful, super organised, proficient in using Word and Excel and have an interest in the leisure/travel/hospitality industry. As an intern, you’ll have plenty of exposure working with different teams, so being a team player and possessing excellent communication skills (written and verbal) is essential.

Lastly, you’ll need to commit to a minimum three month placement with us.

What will you get from us?

Taking on an internship at JacTravel is a great opportunity to gain practical experience in the travel industry, in a truly international environment. It really will give you the experience of team-working, expanding your customer care and administration skills and your interpersonal skills. At the end of your internship, you then get to put JacTravel on your resume to help in your future job opportunities.
