Quality Assurance Team Leader (Wholesale Lending Services - QIP) Chicago, IL
The WLS Quality in Production Team (QIP) is responsible for identifying, evaluating and reporting inconsistences with loan documentation as compared against transaction details entered in various commercial loan systems, in accordance to established policy & procedures. The Team Leader is responsible for supporting the QIP manager and team by providing subject matter expertise, research and analysis, employee coaching, process improvement, reporting and overall leadership in attaining QIP priorities.
Job Responsibilities
· Partner with process owners, managers and team-leads to ensure alignment of scoring expectations (e.g. manage the change control process, challenge calls, scorecard changes, process changes, etc.)
· Facilitate calls with production managers and team-leads to discuss scoring differences
· Communicate clear instructions and reinforce policy and procedure updates to team members
· Provide subject matter expertise to team by coaching and training
· Monitor the workflow, review volume and adherence to process standards
· Perform quality reviews as required in support of SLA targets
· Assist with research for audit requests and various projects like new business migrations
· Support team performance reporting as required
· Research and resolve quality review escalations
· Represent manager and team on stakeholder calls as needed
· Provide performance feedback to supervisor along with strategies for improvement
· Participate with strategic leadership of the team
Desired profile
· Financial services industry knowledge with an emphasis on loan operations
· Experience with various loan operations systems (Loan IQ, ACBS, VLS, RLOTS, Dealworks, etc.)
· Prior experience reviewing and interpreting regulatory and compliance documentation
· Demonstrated ability to complete timely deliverables with a high degree of accuracy
· Strong working knowledge of Microsoft office products, particularly MS Excel
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills
· Strong organization and time management abilities
· Ability to deliver on projects and tasks with competing priorities
· Superior communication and partnership skills
· Business Banking, Commercial Banking and Private Banking experience is a plus
· Strong analytical skills including the ability to probe sensitive issues while maintaining the highest level of integrity and objectivity
· Productivity and flexibility through shifting priorities and deadlines are required
· Demonstrate the ability to function in a joint, cooperative manner; share information with co-workers and peers and support department and team plans, programs, and policies
