UI Software Engineer - JavaScript/Angular

Job description

As a member of our Software Engineering Group you will dive head-first into creating innovative solutions that advance businesses and careers. You’ll join an inspiring and curious team of technologists dedicated to improving the design, analytics, development, coding, testing and application programming that goes into creating high quality software and new products. You’ll be tasked with keeping the team and other key stakeholders up to speed on the progress of what’s being developed. Coming in with an understanding of the importance of end-to-end software development-such as Agile frameworks-is key. And best of all, you’ll be working with and sharing ideas, information and innovation with our global team of technologists from all over the world.

 

The Prime Brokerage Technology team is looking to hire a highly motivated Full Stack Developer to join the team in the expansion and integration of the Prime Brokerage Technology group globally. This position will be within the London based development team whose main project deliverable is to build out an automated global workflow for provisioning Hedge Fund client contacts onto various key applications (for e.g. Money Transfer, Asset Servicing, etc.) and client reports within the wider Prime Brokerage offering as part of the end-to-end client on boarding process. The successful candidate will be responsible for assistance with our user/technical requirements, design, development, implementation and support of the global Prime Brokerage systems across client on-boarding, client service and client facing technology support teams.

This role requires a wide variety of strengths and capabilities, including:

Advanced knowledge of application, data and infrastructure architecture disciplines

· 
Understanding of architecture and design across all systems 

· 
Working proficiency in developmental toolsets

· 
Experience of client side technologies and UI development. (e.g. Javascript, HTML, Angular)

· 
Understanding and experience of cross-platform compatibility using JQuery

· 
Knowledge of data persistence technologies (iBatis, Hibernate)

· 
Business Driven and Test-driven development experience, Junit

· 
Database experience Oracle/Sybase/H2

· 
Solid understanding and practical experience of OO, development practices and methodologies

· 
RESTful API design, service oriented architecture expertise

· 
Knowledge of Java technologies including core Java, Spring, J2EE and application containers such as Tomcat would be desirable

· 
Experience with distributed caching technologies such as Coherence, HazelCast desirable

· 
Ability to collaborate with high-performing teams and individuals throughout the firm to accomplish common goals

· 
Understanding of software skills such as business analysis, development, maintenance and software improvement
