As a Transport Services Provisioning Manager GNS a division of Global Technology Infrastructure (GTI), you will be responsible for leading a team of Global Provisioners for our mission critical layer 1 networks. This encompasses gathering requirements, designing, bidding (RFP), funding, selecting and implementing world class transport networks. JPMC has locations in over 60 countries that are linked together in a private line MPLS backbone. You will work with other global subject matter experts in collaboration for layers 3 and higher. You will manage critical time lines, work with carriers, undersea cable providers and fiber optic companies to determine the most cost effective plan, while ensuring the most resilient network possible. In addition to carrier managed networks, JPMC has one of the largest dark fiber DWDM enterprise networks in the industry, spanning Wilmington, New York, Detroit, Chicago and Columbus. Duties will include management and engineering of this network, recommendations on software levels and tool sets.
You will also manage relationships within your project team, manage financial forecasts and be accountable for meeting projects plan dates. You will ensure quality control and audit compliance are built into each design. A strong ability to manage Project Risk is essential.
Desired profile
· 3-5 years of telecommunications experience specializing in layer 1 transport
· Vendor management, high volume of circuit orders and ability to expedite
· Excellent written and engineering design documentation
· Ability to coach, manage and lead a world class provisioning department
· Schedule and allocate resources, making recommendations on appropriate staffing levels.
· Vast knowledge of international networks, including undersea cable systems
· Ability to create and monitor financial business cases
· High technical knowledge, but possess the ability to communicate in laymen's terms
· Customer focused, can communicate to lines of business when required
· Vision driven with clear roadmaps for transport direction
