Job description
The Customer Service Oversight and Control team"s primary function is to implement an effective control framework in the Auto Finance (AF) service organization, looking within and across the lines of business, to identify and remediate control issues with a sense of urgency regardless of the source. The team partners with all other control disciplines, adding an additional line of defense supporting Compliance, Risk and Audit, among others. The Team works in partnership on the development of new, and oversight of existing, control functions and protocols throughout the Firm and provides a centralized view of and from all control functions, assisting in immediate, real time problem detection and escalation. The Risk and Control Self Assessment Tester role resides within RCSA Control Execution team and supports the team"s responsibility for ensuring effective design, implementation and maintenance of Chase"s RCSA program and a structured operational risk framework is implemented across Auto Service. Specifically, this position will function as part of a multi-site team established to execute risk mitigation testing of Auto Finance Risk and Control Self Assessments. This position may interface with individuals across the controls team as well as and partners across all Auto Finance business functions. Responsibilities: · Prepare control design evaluation documentation based on research of existing testing work papers, business process maps, business process risk and control change documents, risk and control documentation in the Phoenix system, as well as internal and external information sources · Perform and document results of risk and control design evaluations to validate inherent risk probability and impact weightings and assess control design and risk mitigation effectiveness · Develop test strategies and robust test scripts to challenge and substantiate control effectiveness ratings · Determine appropriate control test population and sample sizes in adherence to RCSA Procedures/Standards · Execute approved risk mitigation/control testing strategies and scripts based on established priorities · Document test results · Store test work papers and artifacts as applicable using prescribed naming conventions and protocols · Make required updates to production/pipeline tracking tool(s) · Consistently achieve required accuracy and quality standards to ensure compliance with RCSA Procedures/Standards, established templates, policies, procedures, and management communications · Collaborate with RCSA Managers and Senior Testers as applicable to identify control weakness, determine root cause, and recommend solutions . Perform process deep dives to assess risk and controls · Work with RCSA Managers, Senior Testers, peer Auto Finance Oversight and Control team partners and business process partners as required to prepare, execute and present risk and control testing results · Participate in other Oversight and Control and partner initiatives as assigned
Desired profile
·Bachelor"s degree required ·Advanced degree or professional certification preferred ·Excellent written and oral communication skills required ·Minimum 5+ years experience in Controls, Operational Risk Management, Audit, and/or comparable analytical and control testing roles ·Strong analytical, critical thinking and problem solving skills ·Advanced knowledge of Microsoft applications; excel, word, power point ·Understanding of User Acceptance Testing (UAT), Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) and Phoenix ·Preference given to individuals with demonstrated knowledge/background in internal control principles, RCSA Procedures execution, and risk and control self-assessment including risk and control testing ·Successful track record of working across organizational lines to include operations, risk management, audit, compliance, exam preparation areas ·Demonstrated ability to manage multiple assignments and achieve deadlines while consistently delivering quality results within a team environment ·Strong organizational skills and orientation to detail
