Corporate Technology & Risk (CTR) delivers streamlined and consistent solutions supporting JPMorgan Chase's Controls, Compliance, Legal, HR and IT Risk agendas, with a focus on stability, delivery, efficiencies and people. The goal of CTR's drive to standardization, consistency and simplicity is a JPMorgan Chase architecture that fosters long-term productivity, quality and innovation across the entire enterprise. The disciplines within this organization are Corporate Compliance Technology, Corporate Functions Technology, Control System Technology, Human Resources Technology, and Global Identity and Access Management. Technology Operations & Controls (TOC) within CTR includes the following functions: Application Operate, Program Delivery Services, Production Services, Testing & Release Services, Controls Services, Enterprise Access Administration, and Identity & Access Governance. The Testing & Release Services function within TOC is building out the Quality Assurance Utility, providing QA functional and regression testing as a service to applications across CTR. The overall objective of the QA Utility is to provide a consistent, standardized, best practice approach to QA testing across CTR, driving improved production stability of CTR applications.The CTR Quality Assurance Testing Lead will be responsible for leading this function, including the design and implementation of the target operating model, including processes, tools, client engagement model, reporting / metrics, and governance. The role will be responsible for managing the organization, including implementation of the resource and location strategy, as well as managing financials and headcount to agreed targets. A key objective of the role will be to drive benefits and efficiencies in the delivery of the service from the utility.Up to 10% travel may be required.Responsibilities of the role include: ·Define and implement the target operating model of the Quality Assurance Utility. ·Build and manage client relationships with managers across CTR (i.e., Application Development Organizations), communicating effectively with management and collaborating effectively with CTR tower project managers and application development leads. ·Define and implement the resource strategy, including the approach to employee / contractor mix and how to leverage vendor resources. ·Define and implement the location strategy, including onshore / offshore mix and approach to co-location with AD teams. ·Effectively manage the staff within the organization, identifying and challenging top talent, managing up lower performers, and overall developing a highly motivated, engaged team. ·Develop and implement a plan to drive increased coverage of CTR applications by the QA utility. ·Work with the CDO to ensure appropriate QA milestones are integrated into the CTR SDLC, and work with project teams to ensure compliance with QA milestones. ·Identify and implement areas for improving efficiency, shortening test cycles, and increasing test script automation. ·Run a robust metrics and testing efficiency measurement program for benchmarking and continuous improvement. ·Accountable for adherence to established test standards and procedures. ·Assess risk to project based on results of execution and validation, and make appropriate recommendation based on risks identified.
Desired profile
·A college degree or equivalent experience. ·10+ years of experience in testing, including quality assurance testing, planning and coordinating quality assurance strategy and activities, overseeing test case development, experience with testing tools (e.g., HP ALM, Quick Test Pro, Selenium). ·Demonstrate knowledge of multiple complex applications and provide subject matter expertise to set direction and create test plans for more than one project and/or application. ·Experience managing in a global environment with an onshore and offshore team. ·Experience in working with staffing vendor partners in delivering the QA testing services. ·Proven experience in all aspects of QA testing. ·Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills and excellent analytical skills. ·Independent decision-making and good judgment. ·Strong interpersonal, people, and influencing skills. ·Experience working across multiple functional areas and the ability to operate comfortably in a multi-task / multi priority environment across a global team. ·Deep knowledge of Software Development Lifecycle and concepts, including Waterfall and Agile methods.
