Global Human Resources Service Delivery (HRSD) is a best-in-class, Global HR Service Delivery organization of approximately 658 people, servicing the entire global population of JPMC, currently totaling over 260,000 employees worldwide, in 63 countries. The North American Payroll team services the Americas' countries with primary oversight for payroll operations including all facets of downstream support.
Position Summary
Provide tax compliance support to ensure employees are correctly taxed for payroll payments and wage and tax is reconciled quarterly/annually for all tax jurisdictions. Pro-actively identifies any potential tax issues. Remain current on all federal, state and local payroll tax updates. Manage and monitor tax cases to completion, to ensure the service level agreement time frames are maintained while satisfying the client's needs, the first time. Participate in projects involving tax compliance.
Essential Functions
· Create and run queries in PeopleSoft when needed to ensure that data is correct
· Process employee tax balance adjustments in PeopleSoft
· Resolve tax errors for on-cycle, off-cycle payrolls and expatriate tax data from file loads
· Participate in system testing of ad hoc initiatives and implementation of PeopleSoft tax updates & System Enhancements which includes quality control review of table changes resulting from Tax Patch updates
· Ensure case resolution remains within the service level agreement
· Perform Quarterly and Annual Reconciliations between Tax Liability, Deposits, W2/W3
· Perform data analysis for all out of balances identified on reconciliations for required resolution
· Research and resolve all incoming tax correspondence from taxing jurisdictions
· Ability to compile data for tax audits (Tax returns, etc.)
· Direct communication with tax agencies and tax service provider, ADP
· Actively participate in Merger and Acquisitions, End of Year activities, and other projects requiring tax expertise
Desired profile
· 2-3 years Payroll Tax Experience (multi FEIN/State/Local)
· 2-3 years experience with PeopleSoft & PeopleSoft Query
· Strong analytical and technical skills (Tax and Financial)
· Requires extreme attention to details and the ability to follow through and resolve outstanding issues
· Ability to multitask and meet multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment with changing initiatives
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively communicate with all levels of management
· Advanced PC skills, including MS Windows & Office Suite (Pivot Table & Charting experience required)
· Strong interpersonal and relationship management skills, strong client focus
· Demonstrated leadership skills
· Flexible and adaptable to ongoing changes, to ensure success for the greater good of the entire HRSD global family
· Must be flexible with extended hours that maybe required during critical deadlines
