Job description

We are actively seeking a Senior Messaging Engineer to join the Email & Instant Messaging Services group. The group supports over 270,000 internal customers in over 53 countries. We provide Level 3 support for Microsoft Exchange and Lync environments in addition to SMTP gateways and mobile messaging solutions through Blackberry and Good services.

Responsibilities

· Provide 3rd level problem diagnosis and resolution, including accurate problem identification, ticket documentation, and customer/vendor dialogue.
· Perform production service requests and end user including moves/adds/changes and service consultations.
· Provide escalation support for end-user issues with Outlook and mobile messaging applications.
· Perform daily, weekly, and monthly server health checks and performance monitoring.
· Enforce corporate data protection policies, through IT Risk certifications and standardized access.
· Identify and develop service improvement opportunities through automation or added value.
· Provide Business Continuity support for the email service by activation and confirmed functionality, monitoring and problem diagnosis.
· Participate in the on-call support rotation and as needed.

Desired profile

Essential Skills and Experience

· Certified and in-depth/hands-on experience with Microsoft Exchange 2010/2013
· Knowledge and experience with email gateway technologies such as ProofPoint Sentrion (Sendmail) and Symantec Message Gateway.
· In depth experience with Powershell and/or other admin scripting tools.
· Knowledge and experience of Microsoft Lync 2010/2013
· Strong IT background in client or infrastructure support of a large, finance sector environment (25K+ user base) required.
· Excellent oral and written communication skills, customer service skills, strong interpersonal and team skills required.

Preferred Skills and Experience

· Experience supporting mobile technologies such as Blackberry or Good.
· Solid understanding of hardware and storage (SAN, DAS and JBOD disk) concepts.
· B.S. in Computer Science or equivalent work experience. MCSE, CLP, and related certifications.
· Experience with Mobile technologies across Android and iOS platforms.
· MS SQL 2005 and 2008 knowledge.
