Corporate & Investment Bank Technology - Market Data Services - are seeking an experienced Market Data specialist to join a team, based in New York City (Midtown), focused on providing business consulting and advice as well as expertise in market data content, delivery, expense and control.

The purpose of this position is to build a partnership with the Bank's Business Manager of an assigned discipline (FX, Fixed Income, Equities, Wealth Management, etc.) to enhance the value of market data expense by ensuring that users are getting the most from the products and services, are properly trained to take full advantage of the service, that the services in use are well rationalized to provide alternate perspectives and redundancy.

This position will additionally be responsible for reviewing Cost Transparency Reports with the Bank's Business Manager for the purpose of controlling & rationalizing the expense of market data in an on-going MDS optimization program.

This position is required to create a “value-added” bridge between the business managers of the bank and the market data organization. The role of the business analyst is to provide a single point of contact into the MDS organization to address all aspects of market data business analysis including expense control & reduction, content, training, consulting and requirements gathering of current and future needs.

Desired profile

Critical Skills:
·  Must have hands-on market data trading floor experience.
·  Must have strong working knowledge of markets, asset classes and their content requirements (e.g. FX, Fixed Income, Equities, Corporate Finance).
·  Must have thorough understanding of trading and non-trading floor systems, including, but not limited to Bloomberg, Eikon, Dealing 3000, Factset, SNL, desktop applications:
·  Must have strong understanding of reference data, e.g., Bloomberg Bulk Data License, Reuters Datascope.
·  Must have strong understanding of reference data, inc., fundamental data, index constituent and weightings data, end-of-day pricing data, ratings agency data, and the primary fundamental and quantitative database applications that use this data.
·  Must have good understanding of intellectual property and user provisions as it relates to data usage rights.
·  Must have a basic understanding of vendor market data digital feed offerings including TREP/Elektron, Bloomberg B-Pipe and Inter Dealer Broker Feeds
·  Must have excellent problem solving skills.
·  Must be able to work as a team member & independently.
·  Must be detail oriented.
·  Must be able to work under pressure and in a fast paced environment.
·  Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
·  Strong interpersonal skills.
·  Should have general accounting knowledge.
