The Enterprise Compute Services (ECS) organization within GTI plays a critical role in providing and supporting global enterprise systems that host business applications at the core of JPMorgan Chase's business. These applications support the full range of businesses at the firm including wholesale, high volume consumer, and high net worth clients.

This deep skill position will be a member of JPMorganChase & Co's Global Technical Infrastructure Enterprise Computing Services Websphere Application Server (WAS) for zOS support team. As part of this high performance group, this individual will be responsible for the day-to-day support of JPMorganChase & Co's WAS environments in a Plexed environment.

· General Responsibilities:-
· Installation of new software product versions/releases
· Research and apply proactive software maintenance
· Perform problem diagnostics and resolution
· Monitor systems performance and tune when appropriate
· Provide input to management on infrastructure architecture related issues
· Use infrastructure performance reports/metrics to identify improvement opportunities
· Conduct Production Readiness Inspections of change events, assessing impacts and risks
· Develop wellness check scripts, processes and procedures
· Contribute to Root Cause Investigation
· Document changes to Infrastructure configuration
· Update system configuration and resource definitions when required

Desired profile

Ideal candidate is to have extensive, proven experience in installing, configuring, implementing, tuning and debugging WAS in a large I.T environment, leadership in mainframe projects. This job will encompass a variety of WAS for z/OS system software installation/maintenance/support assignments. It may also include ISV product functionality comparisons, de-commissioning of existing products, installation of new products, transitioning products from test to QA to production environments, and providing business area/ end user technical support.

·  Substantial direct hands-on experience performing WAS systems programming in a mainframe z/OS operating system environment involving maintenance/installation
·  Experience with USS
·  Experience with zOS ISPF, JCL, and JES2
·  IBM Program Product installation experience
·  Independent Software Vendor (ISV) installations *thorough knowledge of SMPE desired*
·  Experience with CA/ACF2

Education
