Job Description:
The Linux Applications Systems Engineer will be responsible for maintaining and administering all the applications that run on Linux servers in the company and the applications that run on them.

Responsibilities:
· Installs and maintains Linux operating systems and related software to ensure stable performance.
· Evaluates system specifications, input/output processes, and working parameters for hardware/software compatibility.
· Provide support of Web infrastructure from development through production including Websphere, Tomcat, Weblogic and Apache.
· Plans, coordinates and performs administration, schedules maintenance and upgrades on all systems.
· Reviews and researches systems for cost effectiveness, compliance to standards and ability to meet future needs.
· Monitors and evaluates efficiency of system usage and make recommendations to management to improve performance.

Desired profile

Basic Qualifications:
· Bachelor"s degree in a Computer Science related field with a minimum of 5+ years of systems administration experience
· 3+ years of experience with Linux Administration
· 3+ years of experience with Apache Administration
· 3+ years of experience with WebLogic or WebSphere
Preferred Skills:
· VmWare experience is a plus
· Knowledge of HP blade chassis administration is preferable.
