The Legal Department of JPMorgan Chase & Co is responsible for providing legal services to the Corporation and is organized by practice groups that generally conform to the Corporation's lines of business (“LOBs”) and corporate staff areas, allowing the legal staff to work closely with specific groups on a daily basis.

Mortgage Banking Legal Group:

The primary function of the Mortgage Banking Legal Group is to provide both transactional and strategic legal and compliance support for JPMC's mortgage business.

Job Responsibilities:

The job will be a paralegal position located in the Mortgage Banking Servicing Legal Group and be responsible for:

· Providing support for the servicing attorneys who support mortgage servicing, with a particular emphasis on sworn document reviews;
· Helping to ensure compliance with all applicable state and federal laws impacting the mortgage servicing business; and
· Providing support for other matters as assigned.

Desired profile

Qualifications:
·  Two years of experience as a paralegal with a mortgage company, bank or law firm
·  Extensive knowledge of laws impacting mortgage banking
·  Experience with sworn documents preferred
·  Ability to prioritize work and interact effectively with attorneys in the department
·  Excellent verbal and written communication skills
·  Excellent legal research skills
·  Competence in use of Microsoft Office products
·  A bachelor's degree or paralegal certificate from a recognized paralegal program

This position will be located in Lewisville, Texas, Tampa, Florida or Washington, D.C.
