KDB Developer - Associate

We require an accomplished KDB+ application support/ developer to join the existing team working on the strategic KDB+ platform. The successful candidate will contribute to the design and technical direction of the product suite as well as maintaining and enhancing it to meet future business requirements. The role will focus on the build out of the bank's strategic Tick systems.
The KDB team work closely with our key global business sponsors. Work covers KDB+ architecture, scripting and java components. Very high volume, low latency market data capture through to user analytics.

Duties:
·  Support of multiple KDB production environments
·  Assist the wider Market Data team to improve their KDB skills
·  Deployment of Market Data feeds into KDB and OneTick platforms
·  Development of cross-platform Market Data GUI tools
·  Data quality validation and analysis for Market Data clients
Skills and Experience:
·  Expert knowledge of KDB+ and Q
·  Expert in designing, implementing and deploying scalable multi ticker-plant KDB platforms for electronic trading analytics
·  Knowledge of market data and order entry protocols, preferably FIX
·  Proven track record in application development experience using object-oriented languages
·  At least Bachelor’s (Master’s preferred) degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering
·  Java/C++/Python
·  Good business facing skills
·  Tick data, Fix to message
·  Develop core components and frameworks as part of the strategic platform for applications to leverage
·  Complete appropriate unit and team cross-testing to advance the overall QA effort
·  Act as a subject matter expert on KDB technology to help train others
·  Work closely with the Production Management,  Engineering, and Data Management teams to ensure optimal solutions that can be properly supported
·  Knowledge or pre, post, intra trading
·  Strong architectural skills in systems engineering and application architecture
·  Proven track record in KDB technology to build solutions for the financial industry
