As a member of our Software Engineering Group you will dive head-first into creating innovative solutions that advance businesses and careers. You’ll join an inspiring and curious team of technologists dedicated to improving the design, analytics, development, coding, testing and application programming that goes into creating high quality software and new products. You’ll be tasked with keeping the team and key stakeholders up to speed on the progress of what’s being developed. Orion is the risk and P&L aggregation platform used across JP Morgan's Global Rates and Global Emerging Markets businesses. Most of our team are end-to-end developers with strong Java and C# skills, a good understanding of risk and P&L structure across Rates products and the ability to work with and build strong relationships with our business users.
The role has a strong user-facing component: the successful candidate will be delivering solutions directly to Finance (Product Control), Middle Office and Front Office (Trading), in a high-pressure environment with expectations for fast turnaround time but without sacrificing quality.
The team also provides front-line support on a rotational basis. As such, the ideal candidate will have the following competencies
