As an experienced Infrastructure Development professional, your mission is to help lead our team of innovators and technologists toward creating next-level solutions that improve the way our business is run. Your hands-on knowledge in system design, application development, testing and operational stability will help your team deliver high quality products. In this role, your main roles and responsibilities include:

·  Provide primary operational support for the Compute BackBone - JPMC internal grid computing farm
·  Perform duties following all JPMC standards regarding engagement, change management, and escalation
·  Design and implement monitoring and automation tools with strong software design principles and silent running philosophy
·  Escalate issues to vendors and provide root cause analysis and incident reports
·  Ensure change management policies and procedures are followed
·  Provide timely resolution to break/fix issues
·  Provide day-to-day remediation of risk and compliance issues in the environment as required
·  Supports the day-to-day maintenance of the application systems in operation, including tasks related to identifying and troubleshooting application and data issues and issues resolution or escalation
·  Call-out and occasional weekend work is a part of the role as part of a rotation amongst 3 support times that cover the complete global timezone – there is always someone at a desk and hence call-out should be unusual and mostly at weekend.
·  Participate in analysis and design of future services and application integrations onto the Compute BackBone

·  BS/BA degree or equivalent experience
·  Software development experience in one or more general purpose programming languages: Python, Shell, Perl, Java, C, C++. Ideally Python
·  Experience supporting grid scheduler IBM Spectrum Symphony, or GridServer
·  Experience using system and software security and entitlements such as SSO, windows, Kerberos, LDAP, Windows AD
·  Advanced experience with Linux System administration and application trouble shooting
·  Experience with Agile approaches a benefit
·  Experience with new and emerging technologies such as cloud and virtualization
·  Be flexible to work off hours and during weekend
·  Strong critical thinking and problem solving skills with clear communication
·  Ability to collaborate with different roles to achieve common goals
·  Good communication skills as the role requires interaction with LOB PM/A-D teams and other GTI departments
