Business Background
The Global Fixed Income Securities Cash Middle Office is primarily responsible for the trade management and control of both the standard and non standard elements of the business. Products include:
Mortgage Backed Securities and Whole Loans
Commercial Mortgage Backed Securities and Loans
NA Corporate Bonds
Emerging Markets Corporate and Sovereign Bonds
Municipal Securities
Tax Oriented Investments
Asset Based Lending
Special Opportunities (Max Recovery, Tax Liens)
Repos, Treasuries

Role Summary
As an associate on the Fixed Income Securities Cash trade support team your primary responsibilities include timely and accurate entry of transactions for Secondary Market Bonds, via front-end systems, and monitoring Tradeflow through our risk management and back-office systems. The Trade Support unit is responsible for the strict control of trades booked and liaising with internal departments and escalating to management where appropriate. Trade support works independently from the Front Office and are key to the control of our business ensuring the highest level of quality is achieved at all times. The candidate will work closely with Trading, Sales, Senior Management, Technology, Operations, Audit and Compliance. In this role one should be familiar with fixed income products, proficient with PC skills and be comfortable working in a fast paced environment.

Main responsibilities
· Provide operational support for the NA Corporate Credit High Grade and High Yield desks
· Product coverage includes Corporate bonds and US Treasuries
· Working directly with the traders and structures to understand each deal to ensure seamless trade entry and flow to subsequent back-office systems
· Trade booking and enrichment
· Reconciliation of trades between front and back end trading systems
· Understand system flow and front to back operations of trade processing including settlements, PnL and confirms
· Understand trade reporting rules to regulatory bodies including FINRA (TRACE)
· Metrics reporting for upper management and control teams within the Middle Office
· Produce ad-hoc scenario based reporting, as requested by Management
· Ensures all issues are dealt with effectively and resolved accordingly in a timely manner
· Drives Middle Office change management in coordination with Technology to increase automation and controls
· Reviews, collaborates and prepares potentially new operational procedures in line with changes and developments in the business

Desired profile

Requirements
· BA/BS degree required
· PC Literate and proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and Access
· Basic accounting knowledge is required
· Able to identify and resolve issues with minimum supervision
· Self motivated with good interpersonal skills
· Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines
· Self starting team player who is creative and reliable
· Extremely detail oriented and controls focused
· Analytical and quantitative aptitude
· Adaptability to learn new tasks & demonstrate willingness to understand the detail of a process
· Understanding of the transaction flow: Ability to look at the overall process and explain it to others
· Strong time management: organization skills and prioritization of tasks, setting own deadlines and working to defined targets
