Fircosoft is a Vendor application that is being used to perform sanctions screening of entities and transactions that are generated by the different lines of business within JP Morgan. Fircosoft AD is the development team that will be involved developing an interface between the Fircosoft scanning filter, various LOBs and the work management utility called GSM.

· The candidate will be Application Developer within the BRT Sanctions AD team.
· The candidate will specifically be working on the Fircosoft suite of applications which is deployed by BRT to perform sanctions (OFAC) screening on behalf of a number of lines of business. Fircosoft is a Vendor delivered application with a footprint across Oracle, Business Objects, UNIX and Websphere/Tomcat.
· The role will involve delivery of change and management of the configuration that operates within the Fircosoft environment.
· Application Delivery has ownership of infrastructure build, application design, development, system testing, change control, deployment and implementation of the final solution.
· The technical analyst will be required to gain knowledge of the end to end Sanctions filtering environment focusing on the interface to the front-end and the Lines of Business.

Desired profile

Key Skills:
· At least 3 years of development experience with minimum bachelor's degree in computer science or related stream
· General Sanctions Screening is highly desirable
· Experience in Fircosoft filtering suite is highly desirable
· UNIX Solaris / Linux Redhat
· Proficient at Unix Shell, Perl/AWK scripting or other scripting languages
· Oracle 11G, SQL
· Websphere MQ
· Knowledge of source control systems, GIT and/or Clearcase
· Autosys / CA7, NDM and SFTP
· JAVA, J2EE, Mule (not essential)
General Skills:
· Strong communication and team-working skills
· Good analytical and problem solving skills
· Experience of working in teams and with remote groups
· Experience of working with vendors and users
· Ability to coordinate with technical infrastructure and architecture teams
· Experience of working in the Financial Services sector is plus
· Experience of High Availability architecture designs in an Active-Active application model
· An understanding of file transfer and messaging environments
· Strong Configuration and Release management background
· Good understanding of business change life-cycle
· Ability to produce Detailed Design Specifications
· Ability to code, test and implement in house and Vendor based solutions
· Experience in supporting System Integration Testing and User Acceptance Testing
