Job description

Financial Intermediary Services maintains a service-oriented support structure for establishing and maintaining key operational relationships with Financial Intermediaries for J.P.Morgan Funds. Primary responsibilities include establishing and maintaining mutual fund setup, support, and trading for these intermediaries and sales teams within J.P.Morgan Funds.

Description

The Financial Intermediary Liaison will work as part of a team to service the back offices of assigned firms. The Candidate will complete operation initiatives with assigned firms. This entails working with Global Strategic Relationships and Sales teams to ensure all initiatives are operationally smooth. The individual will make proactive calls to the Intermediaries to build and maintain relationships. The individual will understand all aspects of assigned firms including, operations, sales and contractual obligations. The individual will work with channel team to monitor accounts and make appropriate updates to accounts.

Responsibilities include but not limited too:

Time Management- Incumbent will be able to work through a series of tasks with varying delivery dates to satisfy the needs of clients.

Client Service/Relationship Building- the Incumbent will build relationships with key operational contacts at assigned Intermediaries, being both reactive and proactive and working with Sales teams. Individual will be responsible for understanding the relationship with JPMorgan and the various firms they cover. Liaison must anticipate the needs of the clients and work to consistently meet those needs. Liaisons will periodically make on-site visits to Intermediaries.

Teamwork – Must partner with others to achieve results. Will work with team to ensure all firms are serviced, by having a general understanding of operations and trading of all lines of business. Individual will back up other liaisons as needed. Liaison will also assist in training new hires, improving process and creating/updating procedures

Operational expert- Incumbent will become the operational expert, fully understanding how each assigned firm does business. Individual will become expert on operational areas of prospectus.

Problem solving critical thinking: Be able to solve issues by examining situation and providing solutions

Project Management- This position requires the management of several multi-step projects of varying complexity with multiple deadlines

Desired profile

Qualifications

· 3 to 5 years related industry experience

· 4-year college degree in business or related fields

· Series 6 or 7 FINRA licensed

· Strong spreadsheet, database, and reporting skills.

· Excellent organizational and planning skills

· Excellent verbal and written communications skills

· Ability to work a self starter and team player, ability to thrive in multi-tasking environment

· Ability to develop strong relationships

· Understanding of the Sales Channels and goals

· Familiarity with DST systems and TA2000

· Working understanding of National Securities Clearing Corporation and its product offering

· Understand the basics of the financial industry including: Mutual Funds, 529 products, Exchange traded funds

· Ability to travel out of state 1-2 times annually

· Strong judgment and Decision making skills
