The team

Corporate and Investment Bank Markets Technology provides end to end technology solutions for the firm's Investment Banking, Sales & Trading and Risk Management business areas.

Pyramid is a strategic platform for processing and risk managing derivatives in the Investment Bank. It is used by Credit Hybrids, Equity Derivatives, Commodity Exotics and Interest Rate Hybrids businesses globally. The trade processing suite is responsible for trade capture, event & position management, and feeds to downstream systems such as accounting and legal documentation. Products range from high volume listed products to highly complex over-the-counter structured derivatives.

The platform uses a range of technologies including Java, C#/.net, C++, Sybase/SQL, NoSQL systems on Windows and Linux platforms. The role

Highly skilled developer to work on a green-field UI projects for trade capture and lifecycle management for equity derivatives. Using C#/.net, the challenge is to deliver a flexible, extendible UI that will leverage Java services to achieve high levels of straight-through-processing and efficiency as part of a wider program to re-engineer the platform.

We are looking for a highly talented and driven technologist who has a track record of delivering outstanding solutions in an investment bank or other fast-paced industry where first class solutions are the norm.

Key Responsibilities

· Hands on development of new applications and new components of existing systems using C#/WPF.

· Senior developer for the strategic UI implementation.

· Ensure that solutions are delivered within the strategic application framework.

· Work with the business and quant analysts to understand use cases, functional and non-functional requirements.

· Collaborating with other developers in an agile environment.

· Participation in code reviews and sharing of knowledge with other members of the team.

· Provide a high level of user experience through an innovative and intuitive user interface.

Ability to operate with minimal supervision, to agreed strategy, facing of directly to business (Front Office) users.

· Report progress to management. Good communication skills will be paramount.

Desired profile

Essential skills

· Significant previous hands-on experience and expert on C#/.net.

· Very strong knowledge of WPF and experience in using MVVM or MVPVM.

· Strong OO design skills with in-depth knowledge of object modelling and design patterns.

· Computer science background with an intellectual rigour.

· Ability to solve complex problems and a proven track record of high performance and delivery.

· Strong communication and team-working skills.

Desirable skills

· Experience of working in financial services with knowledge of derivatives products and lifecycle.

· Good knowledge of Java with some hands-on experience.

Education

To degree level, ideally in a computer science, mathematical or engineering discipline.
