The technologies and business applications we support and provide oversight for include business critical decision support and trading execution applications, data warehouses, data centers, servers, desktops, networks, communications systems, contingency sites and much more. Our team Asset Management Infrastructure Application Services' (AMIAS) is comprised of a global management team who specialize in: - Production Support (Application Services Delivery) - Technology Infrastructure Architecture and Engineering - Distributed Computing Infrastructure Support - End User Technology - Infrastructure Solutions Management The Opportunity An Application Support Specialist is needed in the Asset Management Application Service Delivery group. This role involves teamwork with Equity Traders, Portfolio Managers, research analysts, Middle Office Operations and Application Development communities at all levels within the organization. Excellent communication skills are a must for this position. The individual should have a passion for the system support role; have strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, able to work successfully in a cross-functional environment among other application support teams. The successful candidate must have a proven ability to fully use and apply standard technical troubleshooting principles while following standardized Problem and Change Management policies and procedures. This person must have the ability to work on projects and other assignments with minimal direct supervision. Position Responsibilities: ·Provide technical support for applications that service the Global Equity business. ·Maintains operation, monitoring and integrity of production systems to meet established standards ·Participate in large scale projects that impact the Global Equity business and technology. ·Participate in the Incident Management and Problem Management processes as a resolver accountable for root cause analysis, resolution and reporting. ·Partner with application development throughout the development phase and validate that all production changes are processed according to Change Management policies and procedures. ·Ensure that appropriate levels of Quality Assurance have been met for all new and existing products. ·Ensure that products and changes are fully documented, supportable and captured Interface with internal and external business and technical partners. ·Participate in regression testing and BC/DR exercises. ·Proactively identify opportunities for change and improvement within the production environment. ·Interact with Middle Office groups to determine data, performance, and other issues related to the application. ·Familiarity with financial instruments, trading systems and portfolio management is highly desirable. The candidate will be expected to gain new financial knowledge as needed. ·Participate in support rota and serve as escalation contact during overnight / early hours.

Desired profile

Technical Requirements ·Production support experience with an OMS and/or Trade execution systems, ideally in an investment management front office environment. ·Experience in Equities PM and Trading functions or equivalent. ·Familiarity of the ITIL Production Support Framework Technical experience: ·Sybase and/or Oracle and/or MS SQL ·Windows , Unix (Linux, Solaris) ·FIX Protocol ·Informatica or another ETL tool is a plus ·Knowledge of Foglight, Splunk or DynaTrace is highly desirable ·Experience in computing, support, development, architecture and/or client/server n-tier application experience required. ·The main responsibility is troubleshooting production issues, solving problems and implementation of production software. ·Good organizational skills, vendor management skills, inclusive of issue tracking, metric reporting etc. ·Demonstrate experience in effective decision making within a high pressure environment. ·Proven ability to communicate technical and production-related concepts to a broad range of technical and non-technical staff. ·Experience with disaster recovery planning, testing, auditing, risk analysis, business resumption planning and contingency planning. ·Results oriented and highly flexible individual, able to work with minimal supervision. Education Requirements Bachelor or Master degree in Computer Science or engineering or equivalent experience is required for this position.
