Global Technology Infrastructure (GTI) serves as the central provider of technology infrastructure to JPMorgan Chase. GTI has launched a major, intensive, multi-year effort to improve and enhance the support of application messaging and integration services on behalf of JPMC"s Lines of Business (LOB"s). In conformance with GTI"s Service Delivery model for distributed systems, a cross-tower team (GTI Messaging) is being developed and empowered to support this effort.

Global Technology Infrastructure Compute Services (GTI Compute Services) is responsible for managing the firm"s global server and storage portfolio"s across plan, build and operate functions. The organization is transforming into a Managed Services provider for JPMC and drives product management, engineering standards and productivity initiatives in support of the Managed Services. Within GTI, GTI Service Delivery drives product management, engineering standards and productivity initiatives for the messaging infrastructure (e.g. IBM MQ) as well as other distributed systems technologies.

In the role of GTI MQ Infrastructure Support Analyst, you will be supporting critical projects within the messaging distributed infrastructure used by applications across all Lines of Business within JPMC.

Responsibilities shall include but not be limited to:

· Provide SME support for a unique portfolio of messaging and integration technologies on distributed systems
· Work with application teams to understand their messaging requirements, and create the necessary configurations for the applications to use the services.
· Participate in a follow the sun oncall Level 3 rotation
· Handle escalations from Level 2 support teams, join production outage bridges and provide proper root cause analysis
· Work closely with the Engineering teams to install, deploy and maintain the messaging products
· Schedule and perform product upgrades
· Automate manual operational procedures
· Troubleshoot infrastructure problems within a specific application environment or between multiple messaging environments
· Open and track bugs reports with Vendors
· Create runbook procedures
· Monitor capacity and address/fix capacity breaks
· Work on migrating messaging infrastructure from legacy AIX platforms to next generation LINUX platforms
· Track and perform root cause analysis

Desired profile

· 3+ years MQ system administration hands on experience with IBM WebSphereMQ on distributed systems
· Experience with delivering quality, secure messaging solutions to Lines of Business.
· Experience with developing scripts/code resulting in automation of manual procedures
· Hands on experience with SSL
· Strong analytical skills in troubleshooting messaging environment problems on distributed systems
· Ability to work with groups across a large organization
· Strong communication skills
· Hands on experience with distributed systems and the ability to troubleshoot at the OS level
