We have an opportunity within our Glasgow Technology Hub for a Software Engineer to work across multiple platforms solving complex and large scale challenges. If you are passionate about programming and software quality we want to speak with you.

Currently focusing on large-scale infrastructure monitoring applications, you will be joining a motivated and experienced team addressing the needs of;
· An ultra scalable global application deployment solution
· Sophisticated application process management and monitoring platforms
· Streamlining integration across issue tracking, version control, deployment and change management technologies.
We work with:
· Data analytics/correlation
· Firm-wide event bus
· Real-time dashboards
· Data warehousing
· Cloud technologies

Desired profile

To be successful in this role you'll have;

· Passion to investigate and learn the newest ideas and solutions in technology

·  Knowledge of Java, Spring, JDO, HTML5
· Knowledge of these technologies will be advantageous: SQL, HTML, Javascript, Groovy, Grails, Python, C++

·  Excellent problem solving skills
·  A track record of delivery in a professional technical environment either from education, professional roles or personal projects (e.g., Open source contributions)
·  Strong knowledge of computer science fundamentals in data structures, design patterns and interface design.
·  Strong development skills across platforms and languages
·  Versatility to select appropriate technologies and master knowledge and skills quickly
·  Take pride in quality and in delivering firm-changing projects

This role offers an excellent team environment, good working hours and a challenging and exciting role. Experience in financial service and investment banking is not necessary for this role.
