One of the firm's top priorities continues to be strengthening its risk and control environment. The Finance & Risk CFO organization jointly reports to the firm's Chief Financial Officer and the Chief Risk Officer. One of the key functions within this organization is the Finance & Risk - Business Management & Strategy team, responsible for implementing and executing against strategic Finance and Risk focused initiatives. One of the key initiatives being managed by the team currently is the Finance & Risk Roadmap, is a multi-year effort across the firm aimed at building and implementing a more effective infrastructure and operating model across the firm, focused on:

· Improving the quality of data
· Addressing regulatory requirements
· Simplifying operating model, increasing controls, and reducing operational risk
· Implementing and driving a consistent data management and reference data framework

The team also partners with various other teams within Risk and Finance to build out various operating models, program management frameworks and process improvements. One of the key areas the team is involved in currently is the Operational Risk Management space.

Role

This position is part of the Finance & Risk - Business Management & Strategy team, specifically supporting efforts across over 20 large scale Roadmap programs, and various other Risk and Finance strategic initiatives. The Business Management & Strategy Associate will operate at the core of each in-flight initiative across lines of business, and support the Finance & Risk CFO in driving the overall strategic vision of each initiative forward. This individual will support the team lead, and have the ability to provide insightful analytic output on a wide range of issues impacting Finance, Risk, the F&R Roadmap, Operational Risk Management and various other strategic priorities. In addition, they will engage with all levels of the organization from the Executive Finance and Risk Leadership Teams, their direct reports and with the JPMorgan Chase operating committee.

Responsibilities

· Strategic Thinking: Develop strategies to deliver and execute on organizational goals and priorities; Understand organization's strengths & weaknesses; Identify external threats and opportunities; Adapt strategies to changing conditions

· Analytical: Synthesize complex and/or diverse information to “tell a story” in a digestible manner that brings attention to the key details; use intuition and experience to complement data; Design work flows, operating models and procedures

· Strong communicator: Create strategically timed & targeted communications to help drive awareness and engagement of priorities and accomplishments at all levels

· Strong ability to work across functions and businesses within JPMC

· Convert detailed analysis into crisp presentations on recommendations / improvement strategies for leadership review and decision making

· Drive the simplification and rationalization of existing governance structures

· Solve complex problems on a wide range of topics within Risk, Finance, Technology, Operational Risk and Risk Governance

Desired profile

· Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience

· 3+ years experience in program management, business management or strategy (top consultant experience A-plus)

· Proven ability to collaborate and build strong partnerships across functions

· Experience in establishing and meeting objectives, and tracking / presenting progress

· Strong organization and a proven ability to adapt to changing priorities or juggle multiple deliverables at the same time

· Effective communication skills, both written and verbal

· Strong analytical and problem solving skills required

· Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint (namely story boarding)

· Strong industry knowledge and risk management insight
