Compliance professionals with strong regulatory knowledge and experience related to retail brokerage will be expected to strategically partner with the business to ensure the development and maintenance of a strong compliance culture by developing and maintaining program infrastructure that identifies, measures, and monitors compliance with applicable laws, regulations and rules that govern our business globally. Compliance teams work closely with business, legal, risk, and audit functions to provide expertise on regulatory compliance matters, assess and measure compliance and related risks, and monitor and test the adequacy of the firm"s compliance control environment.The Compliance Manager is a position within the Compliance Core Practices Team of Consumer Banking & Wealth Management. The Compliance Core Practices Team works with the retail brokerage businesses to ensure practices and training are appropriately designed to achieve compliance with both the spirit and intent of applicable laws and and regulations, as well as ensuring execution of an effective compliance program.. Candidates will be expected to partner with management, Legal, Risk, and Controls to provide ongoing compliance advice on regulatory matters and compliance risk. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: ·Aid in development/modification of regulatory compliance training requirements and materials as part of the firm"s training programs; ·Assist in tracking and monitoring the required training for all retail broker/dealer personnel; ·Assist with monitoring financial industry news and regulatory developments for potential impact on the Firm"s training plan; ·Communicate and deliver compliance training to large groups in person; ·Provide compliance advice on regulatory matters and compliance risk; ·Participate on projects and other responsibilities, as deemed required. · Exhibit superior time management skills (measured by deadlines and quality of progress and projects completed).
Desired profile
Qualifications ·Education: BA/BS (JD, MBA, regulatory experience a plus) ·5+ years of experience in broker/dealer regulatory compliance required. ·Ability to effectively present information to management ·Enthusiastic, self motivated, effective under pressure and willing to take personal responsibility/accountability. ·Ability to work effectively within a group as well as independently ·Excellent partnership and influencing skills and the ability to be effective in a matrix environment. ·Proven ability to oversee several tasks concurrently in an efficient and effective manner with a track record in creative and successful problem-solving. ·Excellent communication skills both verbal and written required. Other Skills and Abilities, including computer skills: · Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products, including Excel, Access, Word, and PowerPoint.
