Quality Assurance Manager/Operations Manager
Wholesale Lending Services (WLS) supports several lines of businesses within JPMorgan Chase, including the Investment Bank, Commercial Bank, Business Banking and Global Wealth Management. The group consists of approximately 2,000 employees worldwide, and has support responsibilities for over $500 billion in loans outstanding. Quality Assurance (QA) is a vital Risk & Control function within WLS. The QA Manager is responsible for leading a team that identifies and reports incidences of non-compliance by reviewing loan documentation for accuracy/completeness and reviewing the details of loans on various commercial loan systems. While this role has the traditional elements of operations management, in the near term, the ability to lead the team through a continuous improvement initiative and the ability to implement the firm's new performance development process will be top priority.
Responsibilities:
· Responsible for supporting a team of approximately 10 quality specialists
· Responsible for researching and analyzing reports for trends and recommending, developing and implementing data-based solutions
· Manages a functional unit including accountability for effective and efficient processes
· Manages and directs overall team activities and metrics, coaches for improvement, and monitors progress
· Recommends and implements process changes to improve services and systems
· Assigns resources in support of day-to-day functions
· Manages projects as assigned
Desired profile
Qualifications
· Bachelor's degree with 2-4 years of financial services, regulatory and compliance experience or equivalent is required
· 2-4 years experience leading/managing and directing employees in a Quality Assurance setting
· Financial services industry knowledge with regulatory practices, including lending, loan processing and support operations
· Excellent decision-making skills are crucial, as are oral and written communication skills
· Strong analytical skills including the ability to probe sensitive issues while maintaining the highest level of integrity and objectivity
· Significant experience with reading and interpreting regulatory and compliance procedures against the loan documentation
· Ability to organize and prioritize work, and handle multiple tasks concurrently
· Productivity and flexibility through shifting priorities and deadlines are required
· Accuracy and attention to detail are imperative
· Demonstrate the ability to function in a joint, cooperative manner; share information with co-workers and peers and support department and team plans, programs, and policies
· Support a teamwork/team spirit environment and present a professional attitude/image within department and in all company interactions
· Commercial Banking, Investment Banking, Business Banking, and Private Banking experience is a plus
· Experience with Loan IQ, ACBS, VLS, RLOTS, Ivault, and Dealworks is a plus
· Intermediate to advanced use of Microsoft Word, Excel, Access is a plus
