Chase Commercial Term Lending (CTL) offers targeted multi-family and commercial mortgage lending. Our typical clients are owners and investors needing $1,000,000 or more in term financing on commercial real estate properties which include stabilized apartment, office, industrial and retail buildings in 15+ markets nationwide.
CTL Portfolio Management (PM) is responsible for identifying and managing the overall risk of the CTL seasoned loan portfolio. The PM Business Management team performs various functions including document solicitation and intake, client communication, spreading and spread approval, appraisal and inspection coordination, and loan review support.
Primary Responsibilities
The Portfolio Analyst is expected to have basic knowledge of commercial real estate finance concepts/principles and their application to various property types. The candidate will be responsible for reviewing the quality of the information input into Chase systems and preparing the operating data for the annual review process. This includes reviewing annual property operating statements and rent rolls/lease summaries of properties securing Chase commercial real estate loans. In doing so, Analysts are expected to identify and explain year over year variances and trends in income and expense line items, and understand and explain the trend in property performance. The Portfolio Analyst will interact with borrowers, Credit Executives, and other parties, both internal and external to Chase, to obtain applicable data to perform a complete analysis. The successful candidate for a Portfolio Analyst position will be expected to perform well in a fast-paced and dynamic environment and maintain individual benchmarks for both quality and quantity.
Desired profile
· Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience
· A minimum of 2 years of commercial / multifamily real estate experience/knowledge
· Strong organizational and time-management skills - able to multitask, prioritize, and work with others in an integrated way to achieve individual objectives and team results
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
· Knowledge of basic financial reporting documentation (Operating Statement, Personal Financial Statements, Rent Roll, Lease Summary, etc)
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills
· Proficiency in Microsoft desktop tools including Word, Excel, Power Point and able to quickly acclimate to proprietary systems
· Set priorities, establish, and meet strict deadlines with flexibility to adapt quickly to changing priorities
