Job description

The RFP Proposal Writer is responsible for providing strategic and technical expertise to develop high-quality, effective proposals that result in both new revenue and the successful retention of existing clients, in the merchant acquiring and payments industry. The successful candidate must be a strategic thinker and creative writer, able to tailor each proposal by gaining an understanding of the merchant's challenges and conveying the value proposition of our company and solutions. They must be able to effectively project manage a large project, typically under tight deadlines, across multiple lines of business.

Responsibilities Include :
· Analyzing the needs of the client and crafting a compelling message, strategically positioning our industry leading solutions.
· Project managing and developing compelling responses to RFPs for the B2B, retail and multi-channel processing environments which requires advanced knowledge of the payment processing industry
· Analyzing RFP requirements in order to write, answer, organize and edit proposal content
· Working with sales and account executive teams throughout JPMC to determine clients" needs and to develop timely and appropriate solutions, customizing the message and solution when appropriate.
· Researching product and platform-specific information and applying research to update RFP responses
· Project management of the proposal composition process and production of the final product, when required.
· Proofreading and technical writing of required responses to RFP/RFI/RFQ"s
· Translating and mapping technical information into language understood by all levels of clients
· Assimilating and incorporating materials for assigned areas/topics across team members into a cohesive message.
· Researching topics, gather and analyze information and background materials; consult with subject matter experts to clarify details and develop custom responses, as needed
· Collaborating with other RFP proposal writers to develop best practices, implement new ideas and share knowledge
· Communicating with manager and client on job or deadline issues and escalating appropriately.
· Organizing and archiving proposal files and assets and tracking time and project information

Desired profile

· 3-5 years of hands-on experience writing RFPs required; experience in managing and creating responses to RFP"s in the payments industry
· Bachelor"s Degree required
· Strong project management and organizational skills
· Exceptional verbal and written communication and editorial skills
· Strong relationship management skills and ability to interact, influence and communicate effectively with all levels of the organization
· High level of independence, energy and integrity, demonstrates respect for a diversity of opinions and styles, and accepts accountability and responsibility
· Ability to be flexible to meet deadlines and work in a continuously changing environment
· Ability to work outside of normal business hours, as required, during critical phases of the project
· Ability to develop and maintain a broad knowledge of the technology, equipment, operations processes and systems commonly used to develop Chase Paymentech solutions
· Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and/or other similar publishing software
