Securities Core Processing Program
The Securities Processing Centre manages the back office securities processing for the Markets & Investor Services businesses, providing services across both transactional services and asset servicing across all asset classes traded in global markets to both Financial Institutions and Institutional Investors.
A multi year business transformation program (SCPP) which is high profile and highly visible project that will consolidate various Settlement & Clearing systems to the one global platform for the Securities Processing Centre. The end state platform will be a service based model providing an efficient, robust and globally consistent operating model for securities that is adaptable, automated and utilizes a risk based exception processing based on industry standards. This program of work has adopted an agile approach to software engineering where development is prioritized by the Product Owner who works with Feature Teams.
The Role
The Institutional Equities Securities Analyst will be a Subject Matter Expert (SME) and have good analytical skills in the field of securities processing covering:
· Product domain knowledge – Equities
· Specific knowledge on the End-to-End Institutional Markets Equities flow specifically on the P&L and accounting processes (Scala, ACE knowledge is a pre-requisite)
The analyst will conduct analysis to support the development of the Securities Processing architecture from a P&L perspective, and will need to partner with the Equities technology team, product owner team, feature teams and Finance teams to help deliver the strategic goal.
This specific role is London based, working within the SCPP Program team closely with IB Equities Technology & Finance teams.
The primary responsibilities are:
· Work with key Equities stakeholders to define project plan around strategic P&L process e.g., root cause analysis, project plan & timelines
· Work across SCPP to :
o Support the Business design lead as SME and development of capabilities and processes
o support to the feature teams as SME around the capabilities and processes
o Create design working groups to resolve issues ( e.g. organised by capability across delivery programmes for SCPP)
· Sources answers to ad-hoc business analysis questions
· Leverage existing knowledge and ensure design of the process can meet the business need
· Challenge the status quo & look at process improvement resulting in pain point reduction
· Develop the overall business design & granular definition of a functional area within the SPC as defined by the Capability model as required
· Regular review to ensure progress and standardisation
· Ensure proper controls are embedded in the design of the processes/functions

Must Have
· Ability think strategically and assist is designing the architecture
· Excellent understanding of the end-to-end Equities Securities Flows particularly Finance and P&L
· Staunch ability and desire to deliver under pressure

· Must be a Team player able to work effectively at all levels of an organization with the ability to influence others to move toward consensus. Must be highly reliable, trustworthy, honest, and commitment oriented
