Our Business

The debt capital markets team in MENA, helps originates debt capital markets finance for sovereign, corporates and financial institutions issuers in the MENA region. JPMorgan is a global and regional leader in fixed income debt origination having raised over US$ 45 billion in 2016 for MENA issuers in the international bond market. Global Capital has recently awarded the bank as the "Most impressive bank for EM debt capital markets" and has ranked #1 in the MENA debt capital markets in 2016 and 2017 YTD. The team works closely with Investment Banking and specialised debt groups to originate transactions and works closely with clients, other arranging banks and external lawyers to negotiate and close these transactions.  
 
Responsibilities
·  Assist in preparing marketing presentations and pitches
·  Actively manage the credit rating, documentation, credit research and execution of new financing transactions
·  Help identify and follow through new business opportunities
·  Regular interface between clients and JPM - establish dialogue with key clients, to convey flow and market information
·  Interpret market developments to help identify issuance opportunities
·  Deal with credit and deal enquires from market participants
Essential Skills
·  Fluent Arabic speaker
·  Understanding of fixed income markets
·  Ability to quickly assesses complex business and financial information and present (verbally and in writing) brief but insightful conclusions
·  Strong written and verbal communication skills
·  Ability to interpret market conditions and present conclusions in marketing format – PowerPoint, word etc.
·  Modelling skills (added advantage)
·  When working with deal teams, clients and syndicate banks is assertive but able to share responsibility and work co-operatively
·  Shows initiative in solving problems and completing tasks.
