Overview:

 

The Global Thematic Content Group is part of JPMorgan Prime Services and is responsible for delivering strategic market color analytics and content tointernal and external clients.

 

Role and Responsibilities:

· 
Develop content for thematic publications on strategic topics that will entail research on various investment themes in the hedge fund marketplace and will include

· 
ad-hoc thematic publications

· 
Analyze historical data to identify trends and make interesting time-series and cross-sectional observations across various segments of the equities market

· 
Develop and back-test strategic and tactical investment ideas and trading strategies

· 
Help in design of new visualization approaches to characterize flows and positioning data

· 
Develop alerting capabilities and catalyst event analytics

Required Skills:

· 
A degree in Math, Statistics, Financial Engineering, Computer Science or other quantitative fields. Advanced degree is not required but helpful

· 
Strong mathematical, statistical and analytical skills

· 
Experience writing research publications and/or papers

· 
Hands-on experience using C++, Python or Java is helpful

· 
Excellent communication skills required in our interaction with trading, technology, and control functions

This role encompasses the performance of UK regulated activity. The successful candidate will therefore be subject to meeting UK regulatory requirements in the assessment of fitness, propriety, knowledge and competence (as assessed by the Firm) and (where appropriate) approval by the UK Financial Conduct Authority and/or the Prudential Regulation Authority to carry out such activities.
