Corporate Actions is one of the key product offerings within Asset Servicing. The group is responsible for the end to end process for all corporate actions including: Announcement Capture, Instruction Management, Client Enquiries, IOS Middle Office, Fund Accounting, Proxy Voting and Entitlement Completions. Working with hubs in APAC and WHEM, the Bournemouth Corporate Actions Department is a dynamic environment, providing a bench mark product to all custody, clearance and collateral clients.

The Announcement Capture Utility has a global, cross line of business remit and works with key stakeholders across operations, platform, technology, product and utilities to define and deliver the future operating model and consolidated technology infrastructure for corporate actions Announcement Capture. This will significantly improve delivery and experience for all CIB clients, and additionally will increase efficiency and reduce operating costs.

The Announcement Capture Project Team is responsible for the delivery of multiple, concurrent projects covering strategic initiatives, continuous improvement and client delivery improvements.

Working as a key member of the project team the individual in this role will be responsible for all aspects related to business analysis, including some aspects of project management for a number of strategic projects. This will cover the entire project lifecycle including definition of requirements, impact to existing operations, redefinition of workflows, support for testing of technology and process changes, and implementation support.

Job Description

The successful candidate will be expected to support the following activities:

Project Analyst Functions

· Gather and document business requirements from key operations and product stakeholders

· Produce clear and concise documentation, including high level as well as detailed requirements, that will effectively communicate business needs to all key stakeholders (business, product and technology)

· Research possible solutions and determine appropriate and feasible actions to fulfill business needs; recommend / advise on options, risks, and costs versus benefits

· Consult and obtain consensus from relevant stakeholders across different groups including operations, product and technology

· Identify, analyse, solution and effectively escalate key risks / issues to Project Manager

· Be competent in defining the detailed tasks necessary to achieve business objectives

· Be accountable for the operational design and integration of projects

· Assist with the pre and post implementation tasks from a business perspective -, defining test strategy, executing test plans and user training, documenting and communicating standard operating procedures, formulation and implementation of SLAs and appropriate service models

· Provide regular status reporting to business stakeholders

·  Successful performance in a risk based environment with a proven track record of risk reduction.
·  Results based experience demonstrating strategic and analytical thinking.
·  Track record of working in a changing environment with the experience of learning, documenting and implementing new processes efficiently.
·  Proven ability to improve processes and reduce cost by optimizing operational capabilities.
·  Display high levels of integrity; operate on the basis of open and honest interaction.
·  Enthusiastic, highly motivated and effective under tight timeframes and pressure.
·  Demonstrate experience of multi-tasking and effective time management with attention to detail in a fast paced environment.
·  Experience of effective communication both oral and written to management, clients and colleagues
·  Must have Microsoft Office skills: Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
