Team Summary: OTC Derivatives team performs trade capture, valuation, accounting, and reconciliation of OTC Derivatives for JPM custodian clients. Clients include large industry superannuation funds, investment management unit trusts based in Australia and New Zealand.Position Summary:The OTC Derivatives Analyst is responsible for ensuring OTC trades are captured and valued correctly in the accounting system and then reconciled. Your key responsibilities in this role will include:- Trade capture of OTC Derivatives, calculation of OTC life cycle events, pricing, P&L oversight and reconciliation of OTC Derivatives - Investigating, clearing and resolving OTC related cash breaks between accounting and custody - Providing backup for the valuation function of OTC Derivatives - Maintaining, improving and migrating existing excel reconciliations - Providing assistance with the onboarding of new clients, client reporting and other projects - Supervising, training and mentoring of junior members and working closely with off-shore teams - Ensuring the control framework is maintained
Desired profile
To be successful in this role you will need: - A tertiary degree qualification in Finance/Statistics/Maths preferably with a Masters - Minimum 5 years finance experience preferably from either a trade support/middle office environment - Broad understanding of trade capture and life cycle events, accounting and valuations for OTC Derivatives would be highly regarded - Strong excel skills, with VBA knowledge and experience being highly desirable - Self motivated, with demonstrated initiative and solid problem solving skills - Proven ability to build strong relationships both internally and externally with clients
