The Currencies Operations Asia team is responsible for Confirmation and Settlement of FX transactions. All trades booked by front office have to be confirmed and settled within currency cut off. There is also need to utilize VBA excel/access macro's to improve efficiency.

Experience:

We are looking to hire professional with high level of skills and well developed ability to create VBA excel/access macro"s. Experience in relevant field of 1.5 - 2.0 years would be added advantage.

Role Description:

· The role requires a professional who can demonstrate dual responsibilities to create new VBA excel/access macro's or amend existing macro's and perform operations role in Forex department, development experience is a must.
· Operations tasks include processing of FX transactions by confirming with clients through JPM systems, phone, email etc and ensuring payments are released within cut offs.
· Risk Mitigation of trades daily as per procedures set by the business. Proven experience in identifying inherent risks, ability to spot the gaps and instituting preventive and detective controls.
· Creating and publishing daily MIS of key performance indicators.
· Building and sustaining strong working relationships with internal Lines of Business within Operations, Middle Office & Counter parties (external & internal).
· Ensuring that all issues are investigated and resolved in a timely manner as per SLA.
· Understand and ensure compliance with control and regulatory requirement.
· Participate in the implementation of strategic initiatives, identify process improvements and efficiency opportunities in the daily workflow.
· Ability to quickly understand a complex matrix of operating systems across the infrastructure and their inter-relationships and dependencies.

Desired profile

Required Skills and Qualifications:

· Graduate/Post-Graduate with good academic record
· Thorough Knowledge of writing/amending macro's using VBA (VB scripts)(MUST)
· Relevant knowledge and experience of FX (MT messages, FX Payment processing)
· Experience of over 1 year of working on VBA and preparing reports
· Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build business relationships
· Ability to multi-task in a constantly changing, global, virtual team environment
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
· Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
· Technical skills required: MS Word, Outlook
· Quick learner & flexible for any shifts
· Ability to work under stress with accuracy
· Strong teamwork, people and organizational skills
· Able to critically challenge with the goal of identifying control issues and process improvement opportunities.
