DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION:

 

Investor Services Securities Lending is a dynamic trading desk that provides equity and fixed income securities to broker dealers to facilitate their proprietary and client trading strategies. Where they have a requirement to borrow securities, the Lending Desk negotiates a fee for the loan based on supply and demand, and the type of underlying strategy. Securities Lending objective is to create incremental income for the clients while generating fee income for the firm. With 4 Desks Globally, JPMorgan offers a 24 hour service in 37 different markets.

Equity experience

· 
Trading experience

· 
Trade support- Equities and or experience in the synthetic space such as derivatives, swaps etc.

· 
Equity Finance experience would be beneficial

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

· 
Maximise profit on securities lending trades by negotiating the most favourable rates and maximising utilisation across our clients portfolios

· 
Proactive trading. Looking at client’s inventory and increasing balances and revenue stream with our Counterparts on a daily basis.

· 
Development and maintenance of borrower relationships

· 
Trouble shooting, good knowledge operationally to include corporate actions.

· 
Knowledgeable in the Geopolitical and Financial arena. Write market commentaries for the business and our principle client base.

· 
Revue revenue estimates for new and existing clients giving detailed feedback.

· 
Keep up to date on market initiatives/developments and communicating their subsequent impact to management

· 
Excellent communication skills both internally and with our external counterparts.

SPECIFIC EXPERIENCE/SKILLS REQUIRED:
·  An in depth knowledge of the financial markets.
·  Strong analytical skills
·  Must be highly motivated and able to work under pressure.
·  Proactive thinking on a daily basis
·  Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
·  Advanced experience with Excel & Bloomberg.
