Job description
Position Summary
• J.P. Morgan's London-based Corporate Finance Advisory team provides the bank's clients with advice on capital structures, corporate finance policy and related areas, including credit ratings processes and investor positioning. The team is involved in most major capital markets and M&A transactions, partnering with other groups across the bank (Leverage Finance, DCM, ECM, M&A and industry teams). Typical projects may involve general capital structure advice, providing recommendations on shareholder distribution policies, obtaining a first time rating, providing continuous advice on ratings/positioning and impact analysis of transformational M&A transactions.
• The team's client base includes businesses in all industries and through all stages of their life cycle, from major blue chip corporates to leading businesses in Emerging Markets, and private equity houses.
• The VP/ED will manage all Financial Institution and Insurance client activity (marketing, execution and on-going relationship management) as well as assume responsibility for managing internal processes for deal executions and internal approvals. The VP/ED will manage the relationships with a wide range of teams within Investment Banking, including M&A, DCM, SLF and ECM.

Key responsibilities
• Provide guidance in preparing pitch books and marketing materials for client meetings
• Be involved in and support the execution of funding and capital raising transactions for EMEA clients
• Leading analysts and associates and performing quality control on their work
• Prepare financial models on excel to support pitching and deal execution
• Managing ongoing client relationships
• Manage internal processes for deal pitching and executions
• Work closely with all IBC origination functions including M&A, DCM, SLF and ECM teams
Desired profile
• Significant Financial Institution and/or Insurance Investment Banking experience (ALF, ECM, IB coverage, Ratings Advisory etc.) at a leading US/European investment bank.
• Strong quantitative and analytical skills, including PowerPoint and Excel skills
• Minimum of Bachelors degree or equivalent
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Confident and clear communication skills
• Proficient in mainstream IT investment banking / capital market software (Bloomberg, Datastream, Dealogic…).
