Our Investment Banking groups are organized to provide either product, sector or country expertise to our clients. These teams collaborate to provide a variety of products to clients in each sector. The team members become experts in their product, sector or country.

As an Investment Banking Analyst within Diversified Industries EMEA (DI EMEA), you will work as part of a team on execution and marketing projects involving various debt, equity and M&A products serving clients in the following sub-sectors: Aerospace & defence, automotive, building materials, capital goods, chemicals, paper and packaging, steel and transportation.

Responsibilities of an Investment Banking Analyst may include, but are not limited to:

Financial analysis: Analysis and interpretation of financial statements including preparing trading and transaction comparables, modeling and valuations and benchmarking for companies. Extract information from company accounts, databases and other sources, using accounting knowledge and judgment.

Pitching material preparation: Prepare marketing materials for clients including components like market and industry landscapes, financial analysis and valuations, target companies profiles and benchmarking, etc.

Industry or product coverage: Develop and apply industry/geographic market fundamentals (e.g. impact of economic/market conditions, terminology, competitive landscape, risks, trends) to identify revenue generating opportunities (M&A, equity and debt) for clients across EMEA.

Research: Source and interpret company and industry information from a variety of data sources (company reports, Internet, online databases, JP Morgan proprietary content) with an aim to forming views on the industry, key trends and individual companies. Summarize and synthesize news updates/research reports on priority clients, weekly industry reports; updates for ongoing equity mandates, for internal and external use.

·  excellent written and verbal communication skills
·  ability to work well under pressure and tight deadlines
·  demonstrable experience within an Investment Banking environment, ideally M&A or industry teams
·  strong teamwork skills
We expect the candidate to be adaptable, able to manage projects independently and be ready to assume a high level of responsibility as a member of a team. Bachelor's degree or equivalent in finance or economics is recommended.
