CIB Internal Communications Associate, London
The Corporate & Investment Bank’s (CIB) Internal Communications team develops innovative communications programs that help ensure employees understand the business strategy, priorities and culture, and are engaged in driving results.
This position will report into the head of Internal Communications for the CIB in EMEA. In this role, he/she will be responsible for supporting communications initiatives (including communications planning), writing a wide array of content for the intranet site, drafting executive messages, conducting research, and proofreading, among other special projects. As part of the wider CIB Marketing and Communications team, this position will interact closely with colleagues in Media Relations, Event Marketing and Product Marketing.
Responsibilities:
· Write content and messaging (intranet, email, talking points, town halls, articles, blogs etc.) consistent with communication objectives related to business vision, objectives
· Convey information in a clear, consistent voice
· Manage communications projects/initiatives from beginning to end
· Partner with CIB Internal Communications colleagues to understand goals and assist in implementing communications tactics
· Help ensure effective communications globally, as needed, in coordination with Corporate Communications and regional communicators
Minimum Qualifications:
· BA/BS degree in Communications, Marketing or Journalism preferred
· Strategic thinking, attention to detail and tactical execution skills
· Superior verbal, written and interpersonal skills; strong editing skills; web knowledge/digital savvy
· Consultative approach with the ability to interact, influence, and communicate effectively across the organization
· Ability to effectively partner with direct management, team members and clients and to work well with all levels of employees and execute on all assignments
· Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize high volume, high priority initiatives
· Close attention to detail on events, written work and strategic advice
· Commitment to maintaining the firm’s high standards related to risk, compliance and the Code of Conduct
· Strong project manager and multi-tasker, comfortable in a deadline-driven, fast-paced environment
· High level of independence, energy and integrity, demonstrates respect for a diversity of opinions and styles, and accepts accountability and responsibility
· Flexibility to work outside of normal business hours depending on business needs
· Expertise in Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Additional software skills (Adobe, Acrobat Professional, Photoshop, HTML) a plus
· Must provide writing samples when applying to the position.
Preferred Qualifications:
· Experience in Marketing & Communications field, preferably in Corporate Communications
· Solid understanding of the financial services industry
· Strong knowledge of corporate internal and employee communications strategies, best practices, implementation, and execution
