Our business

The EDG structuring team sits within the Equities Group. The team is responsible for creating derivatives based products which reference equities and other asset classes and these products are used by investors for hedging or getting exposure to financial markets. The team works closely with trading, sales and other business functions to deliver tailored solutions.
 
Opportunity

The advertised position is in the Specialist Structuring team, which looks after highly tailored trades across wrappers (ETF, SPVs), retail, mutual fund derivatives, insurance (Solvency II, savings and retirement) and financing. This position will have a particular focus on mutual fund derivatives product design, pricing and execution.
 
Key responsibilities:
·  Product push across sales teams and in front of clients
·  Reverse enquiries / Pricing of fund-linked derivative products (options, leverage, CPPIs)
·  Product innovation
·  Preparation of materials to support current product launches
Requirements

The role requires an ability to work on new themes / products and take them from the concept stage into scalable business propositions. Aside from interacting with a number of internal teams the candidate will spend a significant amount of client-facing time alongside sales people. The candidate needs to be able to clearly articulate complex concepts and to deal confidently with people at all levels in the organization.

Essential skills
·  Good understanding of derivative products – experience in pricing exotics (equities or others) is a plus
·  Good communication skills, commercial ability – experience in client-facing role is a plus
·  2- to 3-year experience in markets
·  Good PowerPoint and Excel knowledge
·  Excellent time management skills
·  Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.
This role encompasses the performance of UK regulated activity. The successful candidate will therefore be subject to meeting UK regulatory requirements in the assessment of fitness, propriety, knowledge and competence (as assessed by the Firm) and (where appropriate) approval by the UK Financial Conduct Authority and/or the Prudential Regulation Authority to carry out such activities.
