Legal Entity Control

The Legal Entity Control (LEC) team are part of JP Morgan’s Corporate & Investment Bank Business and Finance team. The LEC team includes 5 team members. There are three legal entities in Belgium.

The team in Brussels, is primarily responsible for the oversight of the legal entities, the production of the financial statements to the National bank of Belgium, the preparation of the Income tax, the VAT and the transaction tax returns.
The Brussels LEC team will ensure that the accounts are accurate; this involves daily check of the accounting, variance analysis at month-end, and the checking of the third party invoices.

The team is also in charge of the accuracy of the intra and inter group bookings, FX trade out and the management reporting

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
· Accounting entries
· Reconciliations (e.g. invoices Vs settlement)
· Payment instructions (invoices)
· GLRS process (reconciliation and substantiation of the accounts)
· Regulatory reporting
· Month-end Closing
· Expenses analysis

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE

· Junior accountant.
· Technical accounting knowledge.
· Ability to work under time pressure.
· Good communication and organisational skills
· Good knowledge of English
· Ability to partner across businesses and other support groups.
