We are seeking a highly motivated Associate to join the team to assist in various aspects of supporting the Fixed Income Syndicate Roadshow business
The Fixed Income Syndicate Desk arrange roadshows for their Issuer clients either for deal or non-deal related activity. The Fixed Income Syndicate Business Roadshow Coordinator is responsible for working closely with the Investor Clients, Issuer and EMEA Roadshow team to arrange the roadshows with the targeted Investor clients.
The function resides within the Corporate and Investment Bank and is organisationally aligned to CIB Finance & Business Management but physical location of the role is primarily on the Fixed Income Syndicate Desk in Markets.
Specific tasks and responsibilities associated with this role include:
· Liaison with Debt Capital Markets (DCM) to determine target dates, representatives, group invites
· Posting public announcement of a transaction, collection and recording of initial interest from individual sales chat rooms (via 1x1s, group or calls)
· Working in conjunction with relevant Syndicate execution individual to finalize slots for each location:
· Pairing appropriate accounts according to type or location, allowing individual meetings where appropriate
· Operating with awareness that demand for roadshows varies and deal appropriately with both oversubscribed and undersubscribed events
· Accurately monitor and manage changes during the course of a roadshow (e.g. logistical issues) and work with Sales to adjust schedule accordingly
· Providing daily updates to Sales on Roadshow schedule (i.e. at the open, before the first meeting starts)
· Coordination with other institutions where help is needed in filling slots
· Update DCM / Roadshow colleagues as appropriate to ensure client has live information on status
· Working closely with the core-Roadshow team
· Assist with registration for group breakfasts and lunches as required
· Provide team cover for Roadshow function (i.e. with non-DCM roadshows)
Specific requirements are:
· Experience working on a Deal Roadshow team
· Strong work ethic and proven track record of delivery
· Knowledge of the Fixed Income Investors and their involvement in roadshows
· High degree of organisation and responsiveness
· Able to prioritise. Usual workload typically involves working on multiple roadshows at various stages of maturity, knowing which Issuer clients to prioritise on any given day is key.
· Ability to retain composure in a demanding, dynamic and fast moving environment. Breadth of personality necessary to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced and diverse culture
· Partnering and influencing skills – ability to form good immediate working relationships and a wider network and establish credibility with both
· Business awareness and willingness and interest to learn more
· Good written and verbal communication skills
· Control-mind-set, especially where confidentiality is required
· Highly skilled in problem solving
· Excellent knowledge of Bloomberg
