Our Business
The primary function of the Equity Syndicate Desk is to execute ECM transactions. The Syndicate desk acts as bridge between issuer clients and institutional clients. Syndicate is part of Global Equities (Global Markets) but is physically located within ECM (on the insider side of the Chinese Wall).
Key responsibilities
Work with the team on all matters pertaining to the execution of EMEA ECM deals.
You should expect to be asked to perform a great variety of tasks related to the execution of ECM deals which may include:
· Working on books of demand: setting up, swapping, duping, analyzing, etc.
· Managing coordination and communication with internal (ECM, sales, sales-trading, legal and compliance, research, middle office, roadshow team…) and external (syndicate banks of other banks, investors…) counterparties
· Managing Investor Education and Management roadshows
· Investor targeting and performance analysis
Run ad-hoc, daily and weekly reports and analysis:
· Market wraps
· ECM deal summaries
· Produce the Weekly and Daily ECM update
· Maintain the ABB/Blocks list and track investor feedback
Work on company buyback programs:
· Liaise with company representatives as well as with JPM IB/ECM to structure buybacks.
· Work with Equity Trading and Compliance to execute buybacks in the market
Qualifications
· Analyst ½ with relevant experience for the role, which could include investment banking/corporate finance/research
· Personal attributes: outstanding attention to detail, team player, highly motivated, effective communication skills and displays strong initiative to work independently
· Able to work effectively under high pressure, able to effectively multitask and consistently deliver accurate work on time under pressure
· Very good understanding of the risk, controls and compliance environment
· Advanced user of Excel, Powerpoint, Dealogic and Bloomberg
